Mim brought out three garment bags which distracted Sophie from her studying.

“What’s this?” Sophie asked as he laid two bags on the seats across the table from theirs. Before Mim could even answer, Ruby popped up from her chair. “Is it our clothes for this trip?” she squealed. Nodding with an almost smug smile, Mim handed Ruby her garment bag.

“This is the clothing for today’s arrival,” Mim explained. “I have other outfits for a variety of activities, depending on your needs. I received your measurements, so all the clothes should fit you perfectly. If anything needs to be changed or adjusted, just let me know. Since we are scheduled to land in just over an hour, I suggest you get changed soon,” Mim advised. “Let me fetch your shoes and make-up. I’ll be right back.”

Sophie almost couldn’t hear Mim’s words over Ruby’s squeals of excitement as she opened the bag and started examining its contents.

Where did he get our measurements from? Sophie wondered silently.

With a feeling of resignation, Sophie grabbed the bags, handing the one with Mac’s name on a little tag to him. Sitting back down and laying the bag on the table, she unzipped it and looked inside. A metallic shimmer caught her eyes immediately. Peeling the two flaps open, she saw a golden dress on top. She was not surprised to see it was a tight, way-too-short dress. She managed to refrain from asking where the rest of it was – Sophie knew she had to play the part of a bad guy’s bimbo.

“A bandage dress,” Ruby cooed. “Look at the plunge on this neckline. We’re gonna look so hot!”

The dresses were made of crisscrossing strips of stretchy metallic material in shades of gold, bronze, and copper. Tugging on the material, Sophie was relieved to see that it had some give. At least she’d be able to breathe in it.

A worried look crossed Ruby’s face.

“What’s wrong?” Sophie asked.

Ruby shrugged. “I don’t know where I’m going to hide my weapons.”

Sophie had her knife strapped to her ankle under her jeans and her taser in her pocket. She looked back at the dress and silently agreed with Ruby. She wouldn’t be able to hide a pack of gum in the clothing, much less her weapons. Hopefully, Mim included a purse of some kind.

“I’m keeping all this stuff,” Ruby announced, stroking the dress covetously. “It’s mine now.”

Sophie was waiting for her to start calling it her precious and hissing at people.

At the bottom of the bag was a case with some jewelry – long dangly earrings, bracelets, a necklace, and a sparkly black clutch. Sophie was relieved that the purse would be large enough to house her knife and taser but not much else. Glancing over at Ruby, Sophie noted that everything she’d been given matched hers perfectly. They were going to really play up the identical twin angle.

Pushing the dress aside, Sophie realized another item was under the hanger. “What the hell is this?” Sophie demanded, holding up what appeared to be something sized for a doll. It was flesh-colored, had a stiff, stretchy feel, and looked vaguely like something an Olympic wrestler would wear.

“It’s shapewear. You don’t want unsightly bulges under your dress,” Mim explained, looking slightly scandalized as Sophie waved the undergarment around.

“It’s a torture device,” Sophie argued, her tone bitchy and petulant.

“Oh my god, you big baby. Go put it on! And make sure you see if you can find your big girl panties to go with it,” Ruby snarked, heading to the jet bathroom to get dressed. “What a wuss,” Sophie heard Ruby grumble under her breath just before she entered the restroom.
